Job Overview

Organizing outreach events, including sales, marketing, and planning, to promote the services of the organization. Collecting and analyzing data on local demographics, developing results, and presenting the conclusions to the relevant departments.

Job Duties:
  • Participates in career/job fair events, council meetings, social media posts/correspondence, news/radio segments to pitch the Job Corps program to include, in-person and virtual events for the center National Enrollee Assignment Plan (NEAP) assignment. Markets Job Corps specifically to American Job Centers, schools, the Housing Authority, youth programs, and other appropriate organizations to promote referral of applicants who are eligible to participate in the program.
  • Tracks and document all outreach activities to gauge overall effectiveness in terms of applicant files. Tracks the conversion rates as a measure of outreach effectiveness by measuring the conversion rates between prospects to applicants and arrivals.
  • Develops "street teams" comprised of student leaders who represent the center at outreach events to speak to prospective applicants, etc.
  • Responsible for building a rapport with the community, ensuring a continuous flow of an applicant pool for the center.
  • Provides applicants with accurate information about Job Corps, to include program requirements for graduation, program expectations such as student rules, zero tolerance policy and current Center program offerings.
  • Independently assesses, verifies, and documents eligibility for Job Corps programs, as well as making appropriate enrollment approvals of selected students to meet Center goals and program commitment.
  • Conducts center tours for applicants, parents, and referral sources.
  • Provides information on Job Corps to interested youth and agencies.
  • Files weekly and monthly outreach and achievement reports to the OA/CTS Manager as directed.
  • Maintains a resource file for recruitment/outreach and referral purposes.
  • Provides ongoing outreach and updates all resource files.
  • Completes an After-Action Report following each off-center event where outreach occurs.
  • Assists the Manager by generating reports to monitor effective Outreach and Admissions contract performance outcomes.
  • Cultivate and maintain a Center climate, which is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect in order to provide a safe place for staff and students in which to work and learn.
  • Promote student attainment of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, mentoring students, monitoring skill acquisition and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed.
