21st Century Position

Position Title: 21st Century Teacher

Hours: 12-16 hours per week

Job Summary: Be on-site as scheduled to help with homework; plan and conduct daily math, reading, and science activities; recognize and reward academic achievers; complete weekly lesson plans; collaborate with lead teachers and assistants to provide a variety of academic and enrichment opportunities.

Reports to: 21st Century Site Coordinator

• Strong knowledge of child behavior and learning patterns
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans
• Proficiency in using educational technology and integrating it into lessons
• Competence and ability to work with varied student populations
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Creativity and resourcefulness in developing activities
• Patience and ability to remain calm in challenging situations

• Plan and implement daily lessons and activities that focus on developing students' academic, social, and motor skills.
• Assist students with homework and provide academic support.
• Create progress reports to monitor students' scholastic development and personal growth.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members and participate in professional development opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and program activities.
• Incorporate 21st-century teaching and learning strategies in the classroom.
• Ensure adherence to school rules, policies, and guidelines.

• Certification:
  Teacher certification required
• Experience:
  
  Several years of teaching experience preferred. Demonstrated expertise in relevant enrichment areas through training, licensure, and/or certification
• Skills:
  
  Leadership, organizational, and computer skills required

• Ability to work in an in-person learning environment.
• Physical ability to move around the classroom, supervise students, and handle materials and equipment.
• Capacity to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use a computer and other technology tools essential for instruction.
• Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
