Position: Instructional Aide - Special Education - Systemwide -Striplin (2627.140)

TITLE: Instructional Aide - Special Education

STATUS: Non-Exempt

SALARY: See District Salary Schedule

QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of College (96 Quarter Hours or 48 Semester Hours)

- Passing Work Keys Scores in Business Documents/Writing, Applied Math, and Workplace Documents

REPORTS TO: Principal

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB GOAL: To assist teachers and students in such a way that the learning process for students will be enhanced.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Behaves ethically and refrains from disclosing information of a confidential nature.
  • Demonstrates consistent integrity, dependability, and reliability.
  • Maintains speech, appearance, and behavior which are appropriate to school.
  • Demonstrates a supportive attitude toward the school program.
  • Adheres to the assigned work schedule with consistency.
    • PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists assigned teacher with classroom materials, record keeping, and all other assignments so designated by assigned teacher.
  • Works cooperatively with principal and other school personnel.
  • Performs other reasonable and appropriate assignments as may be delegated by the administration in accordance with the policies of the Gadsden City Board of Education.
