Our client has a brand new opportunity for a qualified itfield service technician thatwill provide technical support in gadsden, al. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on it work, troubleshooting, and working in a fast-paced field environment. This is a 3 month contract opportunity.

duties

and responsibilities
  • provide onsite support for it equipment including pos systems, desktops, printers, thin clients, access points, and network devices
  • troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • perform installations, upgrades, and break/fix support
  • support copper and fiber cabling, including basic terminations
  • document all work, updates, and resolutions in ticketing systems
  • travel daily within a 125+ mile radius (route-based travel)
  • work with remote teams to resolve escalated technical issues
  • occasionally work at heights (20 - 25 feet) and lift up to 25 lbs.
skills and qualifications
  • minimum 1+ year of it technical support or field technician experience
  • comptia a+ (required), network+ preferred
  • experience with windows, macos, or linux environments
  • familiarity with networking fundamentals and it hardware
  • experience with cabling (copper/fiber) is a plus
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • valid driver's license required
wage range

the hourly rate for this position is between $15.75 - $21.00 per hour, unless the local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
