Maintenance Generalist; 2nd Shift-Gadsden, AL at Tyson Foods, Inc. in Gadsden, Alabama

Job Title

Applicants will be considered for shifts and hours posted.

Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.

You must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.

Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.

Must be able to read and write where required.

Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.

Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for 12 hours.

Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Must be able to communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.

Must be able to use Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Ladders, Fall Protection, and Lock Out Tag Out

Experience/history:
Must have at least 6 months of industrial maintenance experience within the last 12 months or verifiable schooling in a relevant industrial maintenance trade in lieu of experience documented in the work history of the application. (can be a combination of employers)

If you were previously employed at Tyson, there's a 90-day waiting period before you can reapply.

Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
