Overview

We are seeking a
Cardiac Step-Down Charge RN
,sometimes referred to as ourStep-Down Unit RNor Step-Down Cardiac Nurse.

A Cardiac Step-Down RN is a registered nurse who is responsible and accountable to the Department Director for the quality of nursing staff and the delivery of patient care. The Charge RN assists the Director in the daily operation of the respective unit(s)/departmentspecializes in providing care for patients who are recovering from cardiac procedures, surgeries, or events like heart attacks. The Cardiac Step-Down RNofferan intermediate level of care between the ICU and the general medical-surgical floor.

Bonus Options: up to $15,000(Two payout options available)

Shift’s Available: Nights ($4 to $8 differential in pay)

Employment Type:Full Time

Hours:12-hour shifts –7:00pm to 7:00am

Location:Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, AL

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Provides direct communication with the Director and/or House Supervisor of unanticipated patient care events and/or risk management activities within patient care unit(s)
  • Utilizes nursing personnel effectively, assisting with required scheduling, staffing and assignments
  • Provides direction, supervision and evaluation of staff and/or staff education as necessary
  • Assists with performance evaluations, progressive discipline of staff and other related HR activities as needed
