CCU Clinical Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking an ICU/CCU Clinical Supervisor, also referred to as an RN Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor collaborates with the unit Director or Manager to support and oversee departmental operations, including staff supervision, training, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, communication, and ensuring quality patient care and efficient function, while assuming administrative responsibilities in their absence. The Clinical RN Supervisor will supervise and support nursing staff, coordinate patient care with the healthcare team and manage critical incidents.

• Oversee daily nursing operations in the emergency department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow
• Supervise and support nursing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Coordinate patient care activities between nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to optimize treatment and patient flow
• Monitor compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards specific to emergency care
• Manage critical incidents and assist in handling complex or high-acuity patient situations
• Communicate with patients, families, and staff to address concerns and provide updates on care processes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness planning for the department

You must have:

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.

• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
• Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained.
• Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
