American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept night shift position requiring 1-2 years of recent ED experience and ACLS/PALS certification.

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• 13-week assignment on night shift (7p-7a)
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

• Active AL or compact RN license required (no disciplinary actions)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• 1-2 years of recent Emergency Dept experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide direct patient care to Emergency Department patients using the nursing process in accordance with hospital policy and state Nurse Practice Act
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision to assigned staff
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
