About the Role
The Beauty Advisor drives sales and delivers a positive customer experience by building client relationships, performing product applications, and offering customized recommendations in a fast‑paced commission environment. This is an hourly position that requires a genuine enthusiasm for the beauty and fragrance industry.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative to achieve store objectives and key metrics.
- Create memorable store experiences by building genuine relationships with team members, vendors, customers, and the community.
- Build customer loyalty through excellent service, personalized consultations, clienteling tools, and tailored product recommendations.
- Execute promotions, special events, and customer outreach to maximize performance and drive sales.
- Use selling tools and digital devices to provide customers with a seamless omnichannel experience.
- Leverage training tools, brand resources, and feedback to continuously improve product knowledge, suggestive selling, artistry skills, and stay current with industry trends.
- Encourage repeat client interactions as a trusted resource.
- Merchandise and replenish products in a timely manner.
- Maintain visual merchandising, signage, and hygiene standards in accordance with vendor and company directives.
- Contribute to a positive store culture by sharing knowledge and celebrating achievements.
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in response to changing circumstances.
- Support selling and store operations by assisting with additional tasks as assigned.
- Support fulfillment and asset protection processes, adhering to product protection standards and safety guidelines.
- Dedication to customer service and a drive to achieve store objectives.
- Strong self‑direction and ability to work independently in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable with technology, including smartphones, tablet computers, and Windows‑based operating systems.
- Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to move around the store, lift, carry, and move up to 40lb.
- Enjoy assisting customers with makeup and skincare applications.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Must maintain all required professional licenses and certifications, including any state‑specific demonstrator or cosmetology licenses.
- Commitment to continuously learn and improve product knowledge and selling skills.
