Ensure the smooth operation of assigned department; create high

sales volume area with a pleasant atmosphere, high employee morale, and

• Provides a continuous flow of communication with the Area Merchandiser of assigned department.
• Ensures proper presentation of merchandise; including but not limited to ticketing, signing, sizing, and display.
• Works with buyers and managers on visual fixtures, merchandise layout, and displays.
• Available to work with buyers and area merchandiser during in store visits.
• Prepares the department for receipt and placement of daily merchandise shipments.
• Understand and carry out all company policies and procedures.
• Take inventories and maintain unit control records/ reports as requested by management or Buyers.
• Daily fill-ins from under stock or back stock.
• Learn the duties and responsibilities of an Area Merchandiser including merchandising and operations as assigned by the store manager.
• Motivates sales staff to encourage high sales productivity.
• Ensures customer service with a smile at all times in their department.
• Promotes the opening of charge accounts and gift card purchase.
• Acts to prevent shoplifting and internal shrinkage. Works with security to report matters of dishonesty.
• Works in sales capacity or cashier capacity as needed.

B.S. /B.A. Degree or equivalent work experience.

Professional appearance, energetic, motivated, and inquisitive, sense of urgency, and an eye for detail. Ability to organize and interpret information.
