Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead financial operations and provide clear insight into business performance in Gaffney, South Carolina. This position will oversee core accounting activities, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support leadership with budgeting, profitability analysis, and financial planning. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of month-end close, reporting processes, and financial modeling while helping the organization make sound fiscal decisions.

Responsibilities:

- Direct the full accounting cycle, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and financial data remains reliable.

- Lead the month-end close process and deliver timely financial statements for management review.

- Prepare and analyze profit and loss results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved performance.

- Develop financial reports that translate complex data into clear business insights for leadership.

- Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, planning, and strategic decision-making.

- Coordinate the annual budget process, working with department leaders to align spending plans with company goals.

- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, explaining key variances and recommending corrective actions.

- Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures to support compliance and operational efficiency. Requirements

- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience with P& L ownership

- Controller or senior-level accounting leadership experience

- Strong month-end close, financial reporting, and budgeting/forecasting skills

- Experience with financial modeling and performance analysis

- Strong analytical, communication, and attention to detail

- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
