Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This travel position offers a rewarding opportunity to support young learners in a full-day preschool autism classroom in Gaffney, SC. You will work with a diverse group of 12 to 13 students in grades 4K, 5K, and 1st, providing specialized instruction tailored to their unique developmental needs. The classroom includes two teacher assistants, offering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with multi-categorical special education standards for preschool autism students
• Assist students with activities of daily living, including toileting support
• Collaborate with teacher assistants and school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor and document student progress to ensure educational goals are met
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student growth and engagement

Qualifications:

• Valid multi-categorical special education teaching certification
• Experience working with preschool-age students with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
• Ability to manage classroom needs including toileting assistance
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
• Willingness to travel for full-time placement in Gaffney, SC
