School Psychologist Cherokee County School District

Position: School Psychologist
Location: Gaffney, SC
District: Cherokee County School District
Schedule: Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Caseload: K12 Students
Work Setting: School-Based

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join the Cherokee County School District team in Gaffney, South Carolina. This full-time position supports students across K12 grade levels through comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and collaboration with school teams.

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychological services while partnering with educators, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psycho educational evaluations and assessments for K12 students.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret assessment data.
  • Prepare evaluation reports and provide recommendations based on student needs.
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.
  • Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns.
  • Support special education processes and student intervention planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state requirements.
Required:
  • Active South Carolina School Psychologist license.
  • School Psychologist II certification in South Carolina.
  • Masters, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience working in K12 school settings.
  • Knowledge of special education eligibility processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
