Special Education Teacher in Gaffney, SC

• Valid (or pending) South Carolina certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with learning disabilities preferred
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with colleagues and families
• Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Commitment to onsite, in-person instruction

• Provide direct instruction in a self-contained LD (Learning Disabilities) classroom
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and team members
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities

• Meaningful, hands-on opportunities to support and empower students with diverse learning needs
• Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) for consistency and work-life balance
