Quality Engineer

Core Molding Technologies is hiring a Quality Engineer to support product launches through process improvement, root cause analysis, and product quality in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, and Purchasing to drive quality outcomes that meet our standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

* Analyze product/process failures and lead root-cause investigations

* Support corrective and preventative action (CAPA) efforts

* Respond to customer complaints and audit failures

* Own and manage IATF 16949 QMS processes

* Develop PFMEAs, control plans, and quality documentation

* Conduct supplier quality audits and manage non-conformances

* Track quality metrics, trends, and reports

* Support APQP, MRB, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

* 3+ years in a quality engineering or manufacturing role

* Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001/14001 standards

* Experience with SPC, MSA, CAPA, and technical writing

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Minitab

* Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills

* Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T

Preferred

* ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, etc.)

* Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

* Internal auditor experience

* Experience in automotive or plastics manufacturing
