Senior Factory Engineering Manager
Responsible for managing engineering activities at the factory to ensure employee health and safety, product safety, environmental protection, and product quality. The role drives the strategic vision for manufacturing reliability and is a key member of the factory management team.
Responsibilities- Define, propose and monitor the implementation of the Factory Engineering team’s plans and objectives in accordance with Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the Nestlé Engineering Excellence master document.
- Propose and implement work processes, procedures, and technical resources related to Factory Engineering.
- Lead and coordinate the Factory Engineering team to maintain competencies, motivation and performance to achieve the team’s mission and objectives.
- Propose and control the Factory Engineering budget and the factory’s capital investment plans and related capital expenditures.
- Plan and manage all approved capital projects.
- Monitor Factory Engineering in accordance with key performance indicators.
- Demonstrate and promote the company’s values within the Factory Engineering team.
- Contribute to the strategic and tactical leadership of the factory and division as a whole.
- Ensure implementation of Asset Maintenance Management as the Factory Maintenance System:
- Technical Stores Management
- Work Order Management and Labor Hour allocation
- Equipment Bill of Material (BOM)
- Drive implementation of Maintenance Best Practices:
- Optimize predictive maintenance technologies (Condition Monitoring and inspections) to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Utilize planned downtime for scheduled and condition‑based maintenance.
- Initiate and coordinate the implementation of new processes/technologies with local, market, PTC, CTU and SBU engineering.
- (BA/BS) in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Process or equivalent with minimum 10 years of related work experience.
- In‑depth knowledge of food processing plant and technology:
- Maintenance technologies.
- Operation of utilities.
- Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSHA & H).
- Understanding of financial analysis and relevant business drivers:
- Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM).
- CAPEX budgeting and preparation (CIAT).
- Industrial Services and Energy Management (NEMT).
- Ability to apply root cause problem solving and technical creativity to resolve complex issues and opportunities.
- Ability to perform under pressure and in ambiguous situations.
- Strong organization and multi‑tasking skills – ability to balance and prioritize several projects simultaneously.
