AboutThe Role
The Production Control Clerk serves as the liaison between our customer and our production operation. The role requires fluent communication and positive relations with all internal levels of the organization and is responsible for executing all changes to orders in the warehouse, production and shipping departments. The clerk will coordinate daily with production department supervisors, schedulers, order management, sales and customer service.
ScheduleMonday – Friday (full time, non‑exempt)
What You Will Do- Primary contact for Customer Service, Inside Sales, Order Management and Arts questions
- Monitor the production changes inbox constantly to execute changes and assist internal customers
- Ensure changes sent to the production changes pending inbox are being made and paperwork for orders on the production floor updated as needed
- Review reports for orders not on press, work with the warehouse to get the order to the floor, partner with customer‑facing teams where client contact is needed
- Review scheduled orders for non‑standard ship methods, ensuring those order types are noticed and prioritized accordingly
- Proactively communicate to Customer Service the need to notify customers of delayed orders
- Effectively communicate any customer‑related issues to applicable departments or sales reps (e.g., component problems, missed shipments, or schedule changes)
- Work closely with other planner/schedulers to ensure there are no scheduling gaps
- Cross‑train as a backup scheduler to understand the role and fill personnel voids; verify accuracy of production on machine
- Detail‑oriented, data‑driven, cost‑conscious, analytical thinker with listening skills
- Works well with colleagues and produces results within a fast‑paced, high‑pressure atmosphere
- Strong attention to detail with an orientation toward results/execution

- Responds to all internal and external customer messages within 30 minutes
