Control the flow and level of inventory, based upon materials management guidelines, utilizing the various material planning, vendor notification and electronic data interchange systems.

We Take Care of Our TeamPosition offers a starting salary range of $27 - $36/hr.
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

- Process the material planning, major components and vendor notification systems to meet production demands.
- Place orders and releases with vendors and follow-up to insure orders are on schedule and delivered on time.
- Expedite and coordinate shortages between vendors, traffic departments and plants.
- Expedite and coordinate shortages for Service/Warranty and field requests.
- Monitor changes in production schedules and inventories to insure orders and material flow are adjusted to meet production demands.
- Interface with changeover coordinators and schedulers to insure the smooth, timely and complete transition of purchased goods, services and materials into and out of production systems.
- Interface with purchasing and vendors to establish and insure the optimum utilization and flow of material in the plants.
- Develop good product knowledge of parts being controlled including assembly practices and how they relate to material flow.
- Assist with tracking inbound loads containing parts for production use.
- Assist with the inter-departmental cross-training.
- Provide feedback regarding vendor performance.
- Coordinate JIT deliveries of selected components with suppliers and Materials/Production.
- Investigate and resolve quantity / pricing blocks in SAP.
- Perform other duties and special projects as requested by Supervisor.
- 3 years of relevant experience OR AA degree AND +1 year of relevant experience
- Strong administrative ability with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Previous administrative support
- Microsoft Excel experience
- IMS experience
