Occupation:
Pillow Factory Worker positions in Gaffney, Cherokee County, South Carolina. This is a temporary, full-time peak load position & we are looking to fill 90 job openings for employment from October 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027.

Specific duties include:

  • Fill seasonal decorative pillows shells and outdoor cushion covers with polyester fiber or foam inserts.
  • Stage polyester fiber and foam inserts at the appropriate production location.
  • Operate polyester fiber blowing / filling machine.
  • Operate cushion core insert machine.
  • Operate sewing machines as required to close filled pillow and cushion openings.
  • Inspect, and pack pillows and cushions.
  • Load polyester fiber into the densified polyester production line.
  • Transfer densified polyester cushion inserts from the production line for transfer to the cushion insert line.
  • Transfer packed finished pillows and cushions to the warehouse utilizing pallet jacks and conveyor belts.
  • Load trucks with finished products for shipment to customer.
  • No forklift operation required.
  • Receive raw material for pillows and cushions.
  • Stage raw material at production line.
  • Load fiber into hoppers.
  • Fill pillows at blowing machine.
  • Fill cushions with densified fiber on stuffing machines.
  • Close pillows with sewing machine and/or install zippers.
  • Close cushions with sewing machines and/or manually close zippers.
  • Offload cushion inserts from the end of the production line.
  • Pack finished pillows and cushions into cartons.
  • Apply appropriate product identification markers and shipping labels.
  • Palletize cartons of completed pillows and apply plastic shrink wrap.
  • Preparing Pallets for forklift operators to transport.
  • Transfer finished pillow products to warehouse by conveyor belt or pallet jack.
  • Down-stack and floor-load Pallets by hand.
  • Pull warehouse production for Shipping department.
  • Deliver Pallets to the dock from the warehouse by conveyor belt or pallet jack.
  • Use Roller Belts to move cartons into the truck trailer.
  • Load trucks for customer shipments.
  • Receive and stage fiber for densified polyester production line.
  • Offload densified polyester cushions from production line and load into transfer bins.
  • Move densified cushion inserts to production area for production.

Terms & Conditions of Employment: $18.98/hour, 40 hours/week. Monday-Friday. May be required to work night shifts.

Transportation:
From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment.

Upon completion of the work contract or if the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers' reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.

Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.

Tools, supplies, and equipment: the employer will provide workers, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

Daily transportation will be provided to and from the worksite.

The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due;
The pay period is every two weeks;
The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law;
The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government incurred by the H-2B worker. The worker is responsible for obtaining and paying for housing but will receive assistance with obtaining housing.

On-the-job training will be provided to the worker.
