About the Role
Participate in the production of items at an Ilitch bakery. Associates will be trained to operate various stations along the production line.
Responsibilities- Perform general inspections and refill ingredients and/or packaging supplies as directed.
- Follow correct safety, operation, quality and sanitation procedures for equipment at workstation.
- Ensure quality control principles in area of responsibility, including proper assembly, storage, tracking, and handling of materials.
- Monitor product quality standards and report defects to line lead or supervisor.
- Describe problems as they arise and seek guidance when necessary.
- Understand and meet operational throughput standards and minimum product quality requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean, sanitary condition.
- Perform work activities with highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance with legal and food safety requirements.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements and practices.
- Meet set goals and objectives relevant to the work area.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Demonstrate proper production techniques for each product and workstation.
- Follow company rules and directions.
- Ability to communicate in English or with a translator.
- Work collaboratively with team members and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Location:
Gaffney, South Carolina, at a 144,000‑square‑foot bakery. Works in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with potential exposure to temperature variance (hot and cold). Ability to lift, push, or pull objects of medium to heavy weight (up to 50 pounds).
