Job Description

Base Pay $17 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for insuring that the machines/operators are serviced as the "internal customer". This will require: direct communication skills, managing time, managing organization of work area, managing movement of products, changing of priorities to satisfy customer demands, and knowing all safety, departmental, and company procedures.

  • Ensures that finished good skids are transported to respective area in a timely fashion
  • Ensures that scrap gaylords are changed out in a timely fashion
  • Responsible for material & color changes on molding presses
  • Responsible for supplying necessary materials to all presses including resin, cardboard, skids, etc
  • Works closely with shift supervisors on kanban boards and shifting priorities as needed
  • Reports any safety violations or issues involved with the machine or work area to the supervisor as quickly as possible
  • Help promote good housekeeping within assigned area through participation in assigned 5S zone
  • Must be able to operate all presses to assist with breaks when necessary
  • Work closely with department supervisor and team leader on daily priorities, obstacles preventing product from getting to the customer, or any additional support needed on the floor
  • Advise department supervisor and/or team leader when caught up and able to assist in other areas
Qualifications
  • 2 yrs minimum Forklift experience required
  • Must obtain Cornerstone Building Brands certified forklift license.
  • Must have past history of exceptional attendance and work habits including self-motivation
  • Must have good communication skills and must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Must have machine operator experience
  • Must be able to operate all the molding machines in the department.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of leadership, good organization skills, judgment, ability to get the job done, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • The physical demands of this job will require an individual to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
