Material Handler I is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of materials in the warehouse and/or shipping dock environment. This role involves receiving, storing, cycle counting, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the establishment. Material Handler I ensures that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and in good condition, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the supply chain.

Engages in packaging, loading, unloading, storing, and transporting materials and products by performing the described duties. Ensures the correct Oracle transactions are performed for goods receipts and item issuances out of inventory.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of sit-down forklift experience being primary function within the past 4 years.
• 6+ months of experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
• Experienced Industrial Equipment Operator.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Basic mathematical and organizational skills.
• Experienced computer knowledge. Microsoft Office knowledge a plus.
• Ability to use warehouse management software and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Previous experience with shipping/receiving documents.
• Previous experience with RF scanners is needed.

• This position reports the Supervisor, Traffic/Material Handling.

• Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
• 20/40 vision in both eyes (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required.
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
• Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection & respirators) and a condition of employment and continued employment (may require little or no facial hair).
• Any position with an essential function of PIV operation requires 20/40 vision in each eye separately and both eyes (with or without correction), the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green and peripheral vision >70 degrees.
