Responsibilities
  • Support students identified as needing academic support to fill gaps in subjects such as Reading, Math or Library Media.
  • Work under the direction of classroom teachers, staff, and principals.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and emotional stability.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ensure the safety of students and interact with staff, students, and the community in a respectful manner.
  • Prepare intervention activities and maintain instructional equipment.
  • Utilize identified intervention materials.
  • Provide intervention to individual students or small groups based on teachers’ or principals’ recommendations.
  • Communicate consistently with classroom teachers regarding student behavior and progress.
  • Document progress monitoring and use data to support instructional strategies.
  • Participate in required intervention meetings for students.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding student information.
  • Attend in‑service training programs as approved and required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and promote safety-mindedness among colleagues.
  • Support the district and building vision, mission, and belief statements.
  • Follow dress, punctuality, and attendance policies.
  • Promote good social relationships among children.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Contracted through ESCCO (no benefits).
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
