Job Summary
EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and passionate Intervention Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction in a variety of settings, including one-on-one, small group, and whole class.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students’ unique learning styles.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP compliance.
- Participate in professional development and training as required.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Valid state certificate in Special Education (Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe).
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
