Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Suburban Steel Supply, a 100% employee‑owned (ESOP) structural and ornamental steel fabricator in Gahanna, Ohio, is hiring a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician. The role keeps shop equipment, facilities, and the yard running across our fabrication operation.
Responsibilities- Run preventative maintenance programs across shop equipment and facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across the shop and yard
- Coordinate outside vendors for specialized repairs, annual inspections, and required certifications
- Keep maintenance logs, work orders, and service records current in our maintenance system
- Manage spare parts inventory and critical replacement components
- Support new equipment installations, commissioning, and facility infrastructure projects
- Time maintenance work against production demand alongside fabrication and operations leaders
- 3–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred)
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and tracking systems
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
