Job Overview
PRN RN – Preop/PACU at Central Ohio Urology Surgery Center.
CommitmentThis is a PRN/as-needed role. All PRNs are required to pick up at least one offered shift within a 90‑day period. The position is not full-time.
Shift AvailabilityAvailability to pick up shifts as needed during standard weekday operating hours:
Monday–Friday, 6:00am–5:30pm. No nights or weekends.
All newly hired PRNs must complete six 10‑hour days of training within the first 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities- Assess and educate patients preoperatively.
- Monitor and manage post‑op recovery, pain, and vital signs.
- Administer medications and IVs safely.
- Identify and respond to complications with urgency.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication.
- Ensure patient readiness, safety, and satisfaction.
- Pick up PRN shifts as needed during standard weekday operating hours.
- Support team goals with a can‑do mindset.
- Lean in, speak up, and step up every day.
- Current Ohio RN license (required).
- Minimum 2 years experience in ICU, ER, Preop, PACU, or Circulating.
- Availability to pick up PRN shifts during standard operating hours.
- Strong decision‑making and communication skills.
- Proactive, humble, collaborative attitude – no task is beneath you.
- Ability to give and receive feedback with professionalism and grace.
- Ability to stay calm, clear‑headed, and composed when it matters most.
