Front End Coordinator

As a Coordinator team member you will be responsible for efficient expedition of customer sales transactions at the front registers, maintaining cash control, ensuring customer satisfaction and safeguarding company assets while upholding Fresh Thyme’s brand and service standards.

• Ensures customers receive outstanding service through the checkout lanes
• Greets customers entering the store and responds promptly to customer needs
• Assists in overseeing the accurate and efficient operation of all cash registers
• Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, gift cards, or automatic debits
• Operates cash register by scanning price coded items, entering PLU or UPC manually, compiling printed list, and displaying cost, tax and rebates on the monitor screen
• Maintains clean and orderly checkout areas with no personal items in the area
• Assures completion of all POS transactions and proper control of all cash at the registers
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service
• Reviews customer survey and customer feedback from the previous day or week
• Prepares, packages, stocks store and displays merchandise appropriately
• Ensures price change compliance and food safety compliance
• Orders any manually ordered items; stocks, rotates and merchandises products according to department procedures
• Ensures all inferior out‑of‑code products are not sold and removes them from display
• Ensures products are accurately priced and sales prices are maintained and up to date
• Provides consultation to customers when needed regarding consumer products
• Executes ad set compliance, including signage
• Meets or exceeds sales floor condition expectations in the department
• Promotes a safe work environment
• Reliably maintains consistent attendance
• Uses the production planner and Fresh dashboard appropriately
• Performs other daily tasks as required

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2–3 years of related retail experience
• One year of management experience
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus
• Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management

• Excellent communication skills to give clear and precise direction to team members
• Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to address root‑cause issues
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Financial and statistical analysis skills to inform decision making
• Customer consultation skills across all product areas
• Safety leadership and mentorship for hourly team members
• Successful completion of required certifications, including Serv Safe Certification

Stand continuously 1–8 hours; walk continuously 2–8 hours; drive frequently 2–4 hours; balance 34–66% of the time; lift 0–10 lbs occasionally (1–33%) and 11–25 lbs occasionally (1–33%), 26–50 lbs occasionally (1–33%); reach, twist, bend, climb, crawl, crouch/squat, kneel as required. Requires frequent grasping and fine manipulation. Environmental conditions may include extreme temperatures and ventilation or exhaust fans.
