Overview
Suburban Steel Supply, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) structural and ornamental steel fabricator based in Gahanna, Ohio. We have been in business since 1979, and our team owns the work, the outcomes, and the company. We are hiring a Field Erector in Columbus.
Responsibilities- Install structural, miscellaneous, and ornamental steel on commercial and residential job sites.
- Work on-site through the stages of construction, reading the job and setting steel safely and square.
- Run a wide range of tools, equipment, and rigging to complete each install.
- Weld in the field when the job calls for it, primarily using SMAW (stick) welding.
- Travel to job sites and maintain safety for yourself and the crew on every site.
- Field experience erecting or installing steel.
- Stick (SMAW) welding ability for field work.
- Willingness to travel to job sites.
