Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Coordinator supports multiple AR functions to ensure accurate cash application, timely collections, and effective revenue management. This role serves as a flexible resource across Collections, Cash Applications, Reporting, and special projects, helping maintain operational continuity while supporting company cash flow and revenue goals. The coordinator researches and resolves account discrepancies, monitors outstanding receivables, and collaborates with internal teams and customers to drive timely payment resolution.
PositionResponsibilities
- Post and apply customer payments received through ACH, wire, check, lockbox, and credit card transactions.
- Verify and enter revenue transactions accurately and timely.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and support collection efforts to improve cash flow and reduce aging balances.
- Serve as backup support for Collections and Cash Application functions as needed.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies, deductions, chargebacks, and payment issues.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve customer account concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, credits, debits, and account activity.
- Prepare and distribute recurring and ad hoc AR reports.
- Support month-end activities, reconciliations, and audit requests.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and special projects.
- Provide cross-functional support across the Accounts Receivable team to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for accounting and finance.
- Knowledge of large ERP systems – Oracle preferred.
- Strong Analytical skills and Attention to Detail.
- Excellent Problem-solving skills;
Strong MS office knowledge – including MS Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUP. - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high-level accuracy.
- Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Requires a High School Diploma. Preferred AA Degree in accounting or finance.
Experience2+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
Work Environment andPhysical Requirements
Office Environment.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
