MGR, Accounting

The University is hiring a MGR, Accounting to lead technical and operational accounting functions ensuring the University's financial integrity. This role supervises account reconciliations, manages construction project accounting, and drives continuous improvement while providing leadership and guidance to staff and stakeholders across campus.

• Oversee maintenance and reconciliation of university construction project records and budgets.
• Review and approve financial transfers, deposits, and prepare cash draws for funding sources including Department of Education and bonds.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement workbooks and reports.
• Analyze and improve construction accounting processes, workflows, and financial systems.
• Supervisor responsibilities include coaching, performance management, and professional development of staff and interns.
• Ensure compliance with state, regulatory, and industry guidelines, particularly State of Florida regulations.
• Preferred experience in higher education or governmental accounting and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with financial systems such as People Soft and Workday is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination required.
• Expected salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 annually.
