Research Administrator II
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in grant and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job DescriptionPost-award functions:
- award set-up in UFIRST and award modifications
- revise active project listings and PI summaries to add/update funding information
- maintain accurate files for grant and foundation documents, including NOAs, IRB approvals, and IACUC approvals
- serve as department contact for human subject payments as necessary
Back-up pre-award functions:
- input proposals into UFIRST and myUFL
- provide assistance to faculty and staff in completing agency forms and collecting and compiling data for proposal development and submission
- ensure compliance with institutional, departmental, and federal guidelines and requirements for human and animal subjects, FCOI policies, required training, and NIH Public Access policies
- work with the Research Administrator Manager and Assistant Director, Research Admin, to develop grant budgets according to institution and granting agency guidelines
Preparation of reports for all extramural funding in the Department:
- provide reports to the Research Administrator Manager and Ast Dir, Research Admin for review and distribution to the department management committee on a monthly basis and ad-hoc funding reports as requested by department administration
Coordinate with the Pathology Fiscal group:
- ensure purchases are processed and charged to the correct accounts
- assure that grants have funds in the appropriate category and process budget transfers as needed
Assist faculty with timely preparation and submission of annual progress reports.
Salary range is between $60k - $65k, commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in grant and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior UF Grant’s management experience
- UFIRST and myUFL experience
