Minimum Requirements:
Academic Program Specialist I: Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Academic Program Specialist II: Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities- Coordinating and administering CTEP initiatives, including managing trainee recruitment, program materials, participant records, and database reporting to support NCI and institutional requirements.
- Planning, executing, and evaluating CTEP events, meetings, conferences, and training activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with the coordination of student- and trainee-focused programs such as internships, certificate programs, and scholar initiatives, including recruitment support, application review coordination, onboarding, and program completion tracking.
- Coordinating with other UFHCI teams to facilitate training award administration and program related academic HR and financial processes to ensure compliance, timely processing, and successful trainee participation.

Expected Salary:
Academic Program Specialist I: $47,500 - $55,000
Academic Program Specialist II: $57,500 - $65,000
This is a TEAMS position, and is eligible for a suite of excellent benefits, retirement options, and paid leave.

Knowledge/
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Foundational knowledge of academic program coordination, student affairs, or general administrative operations.
- Some experience assisting with planning, coordinating, or evaluating programs, meetings, or events is preferred but not required.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and interact professionally with stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge/
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Two to three years of experience in academic program coordination, student affairs, graduate affairs, or related administrative functions, preferably within a health sciences or higher education environment.
- Experience coordinating and evaluating programs, meetings, conferences, or training activities, including vendor coordination, logistics, budgeting, and scheduling.
Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated project coordination and program implementation skills, including ability to anticipate challenges and implement solutions.
