The UF College of Medicine Office of MD Admissions is seeking a talented individual who will provide administrative and professional support as a Academic Assistant II for a dynamic team. This incumbent will serve as the first point of contact for the Harrell Medical Education Building, and particularly the Office of MD Admissions. This team member will greet visitors; answer inquiries related to the MD admissions process and fully support admission events and various outreach and community initiatives.

This Role Admission and Enrollment
  • Provides admission and enrollment support for the University of Florida’s College of Medicine MD program.
  • Prepares and organizes enrollment materials, documents, files, and reports.
  • Articulates standard admission policies, procedures, and deadlines for current or prospective applicants.
  • Essential team member for all admission and recruitment events including MD Interview days, committee meetings, and large-scale yield events.
Program Support
  • Acts as primary support for Community and Pathway Program initiatives, which includes overseeing event planning and logistics, collaborating with appropriate stakeholders, and following safety and ethical guidelines.
  • Develops a system to maintain applicant and participant data for Community Pathway Program Initiatives.
  • Provides support to the Associate Dean of Admissions, assisting in preparing course materials for 4th year electives and for the third-year clerkship writing activity.
Administrative Operations
  • Provides excellent customer service for current and prospective students, faculty, vendors, and visitors.
  • Delivers academic support for Deans and Directors of the Office of Admissions, including but not limited to calendar management, drafting correspondence, and populating program schedule.
  • Oversees office requests for technology, facility services, and/or building management to coordinate repairs or maintenance needs.

Expected Salary: $19.16 - $20.64 - commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience.

Level 2 background screening.
