Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant II position. This provides administrative support for University College, serving as the primary point of contact for students and visitors. Responds to inquiries via phone, email and in person ensuring accurate and timely assistance. The position is responsible for managing office operations, including inventory, supplies, travel documentation and other essential administrative tasks to support the goals of University College.
In addition to background checks for all cardholders, O.C.G.A. § 50
¿ 5¿83 requires a credit check on all employees issued a purchasing card. Additionally, credit checks must be run at the time of Pcard renewal.

Responsibilities
* Provides comprehensive administrative support for the Associate Dean for University College and Directors of academic and student success units in University College
* Provides front-line support by assisting students in person and responding to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders. Directs students to appropriate resources to ensure timely and accurate assistance.
* Supports Assistant to the Dean with scheduling University College courses, supporting instructor/faculty hiring, and managing instructor compensation. Campus room requests through the scheduling system.
* Maintains inventory and coordinates the purchase of supplies for University College departments. Holds the P-card. Oversees equipment maintenance and arranges repairs when necessary and supports travel arrangements by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with university policies.
* Develops and updates marketing materials and social media content for University College departments. Maintains the college-level website, supports event planning for UC and UNG.
* Provides back-up support for the Assistant to the Dean as needed
* Performs additional administrative tasks and special projects as needed to support the operations and goals of University College
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must have a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain exemplary working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administrators
* Must demonstrate a strong background as a team player; must demonstrate the ability to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize duties.
Required Qualifications
* High school degree required
* Five years of clerical or administrative experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Computer experience with Microsoft Office required
* Office experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
* Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
* BANNER experience preferred
* Experience with online appointment-booking system preferred
* Front desk experience preferred
Proposed Salary
* The proposed salary is: $17.06-$18.77 hour.
