Ability to work approximately 10-20 hours per week during regular business hours.

The Human Resources Student Assistant provides administrative support to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Human Resources Office. The position will assist with routine HR processes, maintain accurate records, and provide responsive service to college employees and departments.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with organizing, reviewing, and maintaining electronic personnel and human resources records.
  • Supports recruitment and hiring activities, including preparing documents, updating tracking records, and confirming that required materials have been received.
  • Assists with onboarding and offboarding processes for faculty, staff, student employees, and other personnel.
  • Monitors shared email accounts and routes questions and requests to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Enters and updates information in spreadsheets, databases, and university systems.
  • Prepares routine correspondence, forms, letters, and other HR-related documents using established templates.
  • Reviews documents and records for completeness, accuracy, and proper formatting.
  • Assists with scanning, filing, data cleanup, and records-retention projects.
  • Provides general administrative support, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and special projects.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with discretion and in accordance with university requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current University of Florida student.
  • Ability to work approximately 10-20 hours per week during regular business hours.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and provide courteous customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling personnel and employment information.
Preferred
  • Previous administrative, office, customer service, or human resources experience.
  • Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Interest in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
  • Availability to work consistently for more than one academic semester.

The sal ary is $15.00 - $16.00 per hour.
