Job Description:

Over the last several years, the University of Florida Levin College of Law has expanded our national profile through a number of strategic initiatives. The changes at the school have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report and other publications. To continue our success, we are seeking a Program Coordinator who will embrace an environment of innovation and seek to be a part of the school during this exciting time.

Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Life, the incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing student organization support, including their events and related processes. The Program Coordinator will advise and support student groups and special student populations as they organize, plan and execute large- and small-scale events and meetings. The Coordinator will communicate with student leaders, student groups, and individuals to ensure they comply with all university and departmental policies and procedures.

Essential Duties

Student Event Support and Execution

The Program Coordinator will serve as the law school's primary student organization event liaison, including collaborations with Conferences & Events team, the IT team, the Messaging team, and others. This includes, but is not limited to, working with student group leaders to coordinate all aspects of events hosted by student groups; coordinating appropriate room reservations and catering logistics; resolving conflicts between calendared events and student group events;

relaying information to student groups regarding resource allocation and alumni engagement; working with fellow team members as needed to resolve issues and respond to inquiries related to student group events, communications, etc.

Student Organization Management

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for creating and implementing all aspects of supporting student organizations at the law school. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating official organization recognition processes; tracking officer rosters and providing officer transition support; planning and implementing Organization Fairs for students; acting as a resource and advisor to student leaders to help ensure positive organizational experiences;

maintaining a Student Organization Handbook and updating it annually; assigning student organization lockers annually; etc.

Assist the Assistant Dean for Student Life with the creation, organization, and implementation of student-facing events and other initiatives in furtherance of the Office of Student Life's mission and goals.

The Levin College of Law is growing and changing daily. All College of Law community members are expected to perform other duties as assigned in furtherance of our strategic goals.
