Role Overview
- Functions as a Registrar based upon business needs.
- Resolves more difficult registration and customer service issues that cannot be handled by Registrars.
- Works with leader on creating/maintaining department staffing schedules.
- Provides input on team member performance reviews.
- Participates with leader in regard to coaching and counseling team members.
- Answers questions and provides guidance to staff with process flow, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Assists and provides training for new team members and retraining as needed.
- Makes recommendations for improvement in process flow, work redesign for efficiency and/or quality improvement opportunities within department.
- Works with others to ensure appropriate coordination of patients.
- Follows all established protocol to ensure patient confidentiality, data security and compliance with regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Education:
High School Graduate or GED Equivalent (HS/GED)
Required Experience:4-5 years of previous registration & admitting in a hospital/healthcare setting
OR
any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of job.
