Performs routine Laboratory clerical procedures and distributes patient specimens. Assists and supports the in the daily functions of the Surgical Pathology office.
Responsibilities- Receives and distributes specimens and packages.
- Provides clerical support for Anatomic Pathology.
- Communicates non-technical information correctly.
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and supports those initiatives that improve financial strength.
Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Typing skills of 35 cwpm preferred.
- Must have six months office clerical experience, with lab-specific experience (clinical or hospital based preferred).
- Must also have previous computer operational skills using a personal computer, laboratory system or other hospital information system.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required): (Refer to CP 1.51):

Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
NOTE:
A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile
a) at least once daily,
b) at least five individual trips per week or
c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
