Operations Manager, Supply Chain / Intl. Trade
Responsibilities
- Lead the Supply Chain team in meeting or exceeding site safety goals, providing a safe work environment, training, and materials as needed.
- Drive down supply‑chain related costs by effectively managing the plant’s resources and through end‑to‑end supply‑chain leadership.
- Identify, champion, and capture cost‑savings opportunities through supply‑chain projects in collaboration with Corporate Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, Transportation, Sales, Accounting, Customer Care, and the Plant team.
- Effectively manage supply‑chain resources to ensure service, volume, and production‑scheduling goals are met, including production scheduling, raw‑material ordering, SMOOSI, and supply‑chain execution.
- Take active leadership to become a Shipper of Choice, ensuring strategies are in place to meet demand spikes caused by sales promotions, seasonal buys, weather‑related business spikes, etc.
- Ensure quality standards are met on inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods, with consistent quality and delivery requirements.
- Ensure contractual commitments and supplier assessments are met and purchases are consistent with quality and delivery requirements.
- Ensure logistics staff follow processes, minimize labor cost, report weekly metrics, conduct self‑audits, and maintain goals specific to supply‑chain KPIs.
- Identify process failures that led to missed goals and develop and communicate continuous‑improvement plans to achieve goals.
- Serve the needs of internal and external customers through collaboration across functions and external service providers.
- Provide training and development plans, including coaching and staffing for new and existing logistics employees to ensure facility and department goals are aligned.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a high‑volume manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, production‑planning, and transportation environment, or an H.S. Diploma/ GED with a minimum of 7 years of such experience.
- Preferred certification: APICS.
- Proficient in Google Suite and ERP systems (SAP).
- Advanced knowledge of warehouse and inventory‑management systems and processes (FIFO, LIFO, WIP, physical counts, cycle counts, process controls).
- Advanced knowledge of transportation‑management systems (TMS).
- Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices.
- Advanced knowledge and compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Advanced organizational, analytical, delegating, negotiating, coaching, and time‑management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem‑identification/resolution skills.
Stationary position with frequent movement, traversal, handling, and reaching. Requires speech and hearing. Regular coordination and physical presence in the warehouse and plant environment.

CompensationBase salary range: $100,000 – $137,500 (excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses). Compensation is determined based on geographic location, relevant experience, and qualifications.
