Job DescriptionThe University of Florida's College of Pharmacy is looking for someone interested in stepping into the dynamic world of research administration, joining a skilled and experienced team supporting faculty, staff and students as they turn innovative research ideas into real‑world impact. This position will provide full grant life cycle support with a focus on post‑award administration.
Strong applicants will possess, or show aptitude for development in: strong written and verbal communication skills; flexibility in work assignments; ability to adapt processes and communication approaches to different audiences; time management and personal organization to meet deadlines; efficient task switching; independent problem solving and analytical skills; ability to balance a high level of detail orientation while supporting research intensive faculty;
ability to work effectively in a collaborative, customer‑service oriented and collegial team environment as well as independently.
- Support the administration of sponsored grants and contracts, including award setup, budget monitoring, payroll distributions, expense reconciliation, and closeout activities.
- Assist faculty with grant‑related requests such as no‑cost extensions, carry forward requests, budget transfers, and cost‑sharing requirements.
- Prepare and review financial reports for Principal Investigators and provide guidance on grant expenditures, effort commitments, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor subawards, invoice approvals, reporting deadlines, and research compliance activities, including IRB and IACUC requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private sponsors, including budgets, documentation, routing, and submissions through university and sponsor systems.
- Ensure proposals and sponsored activities comply with sponsor guidelines, university policies, and required deadlines.
- Serve as a liaison between faculty, Shared Services teams, and the Division of Sponsored Programs to support payroll, purchasing, reimbursements, cost transfers, and other sponsored project transactions.
- Assist with faculty effort reporting, activity reporting, and documentation for annual evaluations and promotion and tenure processes.
- Support research‑related agreements and facilitate communication between faculty and the Division of Sponsored Programs during agreement review and negotiation.
- Provide reporting support, special project assistance, and other duties as assigned.
Level I – $50k–$58k
Level II – $59k–$68k

Level I:
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level II:
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in grant and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
