Position: Admissions Officer II (Events)

Overview

The University of Florida is hiring an Admissions Officer II (Events) to manage admissions recruitment and enrollment initiatives by planning and executing impactful events and student engagement activities. The role involves coordinating recruitment programs, handling event logistics and communications, collaborating with campus partners, advising applicants, and conducting holistic application reviews for freshmen.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute admissions and recruitment events, managing logistics such as facilities, catering, and transportation.
  • Develop event materials, schedules, and communications to ensure smooth delivery of programs.
  • Monitor event budgets and coordinate contracts, invoices, and vendor payments with Enrollment Management Finance.
  • Provide admissions counseling and conduct holistic freshman application reviews according to university policies.
  • Collaborate with campus partners, academic colleges, alumni, and student organizations to support admissions programs.
  • Operate state vehicles and handle admissions materials for recruitment activities, including occasional travel within and outside Florida.
Qualifications
  • Required qualifications include a master s degree or a bachelor s degree with one year of relevant experience, and a valid driver s license.
  • Preferred skills include strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and budgeting experience.
