Construction General Labor - Dunnellon
Benchmark Labor is seeking dedicated and hardworking Construction General Laborers to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks on construction sites, ensuring the smooth progress of projects and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. No prior experience is necessary, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. If you are eager to work with your hands, assist skilled tradespeople, and learn the construction industry, we invite you to apply.
Job Responsibilities- Perform general labor tasks including site cleanup, loading/unloading materials, and assisting skilled tradespeople.
- Operate hand and power tools as needed to complete tasks.
- Assist in setting up and taking down temporary structures like scaffolding, barricades, and signage.
- Help with the movement and placement of materials, equipment, and tools around the job site.
- Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction.
- Help with the installation of temporary fixtures, such as barricades and signs.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete daily tasks in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, using the provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors to support overall project goals.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Prior experience in construction is a plus but not required.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and a team player.
- Must have reliable transportation to access various construction sites.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Authorization to work in the respective country (e.g., a valid work permit or citizenship).
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if needed.
- Continuous work and weekly competitive pay with opportunities for overtime.
- All necessary PPE (hard hats, high-visibility vests, safety gloves, and protective eyewear) is provided by the company.
