Southern Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Project Manager
Multi‑Family to join our team.

This role is responsible for planning, managing, and successfully delivering commercial and multi‑family plumbing projects ranging from $500,000 to $10 million
. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong financial acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, safety, schedules, and budgets.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage all phases of commercial and multi‑family plumbing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and production goals
  • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, contracts, and plumbing system requirements
  • Prepare and analyze job cost reports, financial forecasts, work‑in‑progress (WIP) reports, and manpower projections
  • Negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractors
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure project success
  • Review and process change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and project documentation
  • Collaborate with field leadership to ensure drawings, schedules, and project documentation remain current
  • Conduct periodic jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and client satisfaction
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, engineers, inspectors, and municipal agencies
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in commercial or multi‑family plumbing construction
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction practices
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, job costing, and cost control
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Experience managing projects valued between $500,000 and $10 million
  • Proficiency with construction management software, including Procore, Sage, Spectrum, Raken, Microsoft Office, and Excel
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Combination of office and jobsite work
  • May require travel to project locations as needed
  • Fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
