Project

Superintendent Position Summary

BBI Construction Management is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial construction projects throughout North Central Florida. This role is responsible for managing daily on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents and company standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial renovations and/or ground-up construction and is capable of leading field teams while maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders and company leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities from mobilization through completion.
  • Lead daily field operations to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and site logistics activities.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve field coordination and scheduling challenges.
  • Support project schedules through short-interval planning and subcontractor coordination.
  • Maintain organized and professional jobsite operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety policies, and project-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure work meets contract documents and BBI standards.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation including daily reports, inspections, and progress tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to support project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial construction superintendent or field leadership experience.
  • Experience managing commercial renovations and/or ground-up construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, logistics, and safety management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and shop drawings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in occupied or operational environments preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification and experience with field reporting software preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, higher education, municipal, or institutional construction is a plus.
