The selected candidate will anchor newscasts and work as a reporter/MMJ. They will act as a newsroom leader, help generate and report stories as needed, thrive in breaking news situations, and be digitally savvy enough to engage viewers on‑air and online. The role requires shooting, editing, and writing solos while collaborating within the newsroom. Successful candidates will demonstrate flexibility in the newsroom and on‑air, present an energetic personality, and be strong team players.

- Follow the strategic plan for the newsroom
- Assist with producing newscasts as a “command anchor.”
- Pitch story ideas in line with the mission of the newsroom
- Demonstrate excellent people skills to work with a wide range of staff members and experience levels
- Show ability to connect with the audience
- Minimum of 2 years reporting experience and 1 year of anchoring
- College degree or equivalent journalism‑related experience
- Leadership skills
- Exceptional news judgment
- Professional knowledge of news operations
