Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000+ (Negotiable Based On Experience)

About The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Interior Designer to join their growing team in Gainesville. This position is ideal for someone with a commercial furniture dealership background who enjoys collaborating with clients and sales teams to create innovative workplace environments.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Sales and clients to develop workplace furniture solutions that meet project goals
  • Attend client meetings and present furniture concepts for review and approval
  • Create space plans, furniture layouts, product specifications, and installation drawings
  • Specify commercial furniture systems and select finishes
  • Coordinate furniture layouts with architectural and engineering drawings
  • Review design specifications for accuracy and quality
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
  • 4+ years of commercial interior design experience
  • Experience working for a commercial furniture dealership or contract furniture environment strongly preferred
  • Experience space planning office environments and specifying systems furniture
  • Proficiency with CET and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of commercial furniture manufacturers and product specification
  • Understanding of ADA guidelines and Florida and/or International Building Codes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • NCIDQ Certification is preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
  • $85,000 - $100,000+ base salary (negotiable based on experience)
