Job Description:
This is a full-time faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine - Jacksonville, with primary assignment in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and University of Florida Center for HIV/AIDS Research, Education, Services (UF CARES). The position will report to the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology and the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.
UF CARES is the only comprehensive HIV program in north Florida serving adults, adolescents, children and pregnant women. The Division has an active NIH funded research program and an accredited fellowship program. The University of Florida is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
Responsibilities will include:
* Provide outpatient primary and specialty care services for HIV exposed, infected and affected children, adolescents and their families at UF CARES.
* Provide inpatient consultation services at UF Health.
* Provide clinical teaching of trainees (residents, fellows, medical students, and other allied health professionals).
* Participate in research, quality improvement, and other CQI initiatives as appropriate.
* Contribute to divisional, departmental, and institutional service activities, including monthly meetings.

Expected Salary:
Negotiable base on experience and academic appointment.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold an MD/DO degree, and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida.
Preferred:
be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases
Prior experience in HIV care, teaching, clinical or translational research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Experience with federally funded research or multidisciplinary program development is also desirable.
