Overview
Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Florida. The Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time faculty clinical investigator clinician-research track position for the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. This position seeks an ABIM certified (or eligible) hematologist-oncologist with experience in hematologic malignancies and blood and marrow transplantation and an active interest in the development and conduct of clinical trials.
This individual will have a primarily clinical assignment, but will also be expected to develop, conduct and participate in clinical trials and other collaborative research involving patients with hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy. Our Hematologic Malignancy/BMT/Cell Therapy group is a charter Core Center of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network for 20 years, has been FACT-accredited since 2000, is one of 12 centers in the LLS Beat AML consortium, and has had consistent growth in patient volumes, while achieving superior outcomes.
Our group conducts a number of investigator-initiated clinical trials and first in human trials of BMT with dendritic cell vaccines manufactured in our Cancer Center GMP facility.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will have a primarily clinical assignment and is expected to develop, conduct and participate in clinical trials and translational research in hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy.
- Develop investigator-initiated clinical trials and interact with laboratory scientists for translational research (preferred).
- Collaborate within the Cancer Center clinical research office which provides study coordinators, regulatory support, and biostatistical support.
- Contribute to growing interventional trials; UF division participates in ~15% of all new patients in treatment interventional trials.

Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
- Eligible for a Florida Medical License.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork and a commitment to training future physicians.
