Job Description:
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board eligible pediatrician to join the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor level in a non-tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will provide clinical services across both inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to care for children with a broad range of infectious diseases, including transplant-related infections.
Additional responsibilities and opportunities may include advancing the safety, quality, and consistency of infectious diseases care across the department; infection prevention and control; HIV care; travel medicine; telemedicine and distance-based care; outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT); and regional outreach clinics. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
We are a growing and collegial division within the UF College of Medicine, providing comprehensive pediatric infectious diseases care at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital, the only qua ternary-care academic pediatric center in North Central Florida and a major referral center for children with complex medical conditions. The division offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for clinical innovation, education, quality improvement, and scholarly activity.
