The Department of Applied Physiology & Kinesiology (APK) at the University of Florida (UF) is searching for a full‑time, non‑tenure track instructional assistant professor (lecturer) to join our team. The anticipated start date is August 16, 2026, though an earlier start may be negotiable. This is a 9‑month, 1.0 FTE, non‑tenure track faculty position with potential summer employment opportunities. Primary duties are instructional, but the role also involves service at the department, college and university levels.
Responsibilities- Design and teach undergraduate and graduate courses and labs in Applied Human Physiology and Exercise Physiology.
- Develop new courses and integrate experiential learning into the curriculum.
- Lead laboratory instruction and mentor teaching assistants.
- Deliver courses in online, face‑to‑face, and hybrid formats.
- Participate in department, college, and university service activities.
- Doctorate (PhD, EdD, or DSc) in kinesiology, exercise physiology, or a closely related discipline.
- Good communication, collaboration, and time‑management skills.
- Passion for student learning and commitment to teaching excellence and teamwork.
- Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing new coursework, and integrating experiential learning.
- Experience with high‑enrollment courses, laboratory instruction, mentoring TAs, and delivering courses in online, face‑to‑face, or hybrid formats.
